Dactyle A13
This machine went under the radar for quite a while - it has been sitting in my office, and I only very recently realized that, although it was in the list of machines, it did not have its own picture page. So today, we are setting the record straight. Since we now also have the information from the catalog, we can tell that this is a Dactyle A, meaning it has no tens' carry in the revolution counter, and no provision for automatic zeroing for addition. Since it has 13 positions in the result register, it is an A13.
What is a little peculiar about this machine, is the arrangement for the bell(s). There was a bell on the carriage (now missing), which rings on overflow. But the left side of the machine has a provision for a second bell, but that entire mechanism is missing. I have no idea what this would have been connected to, and how it is supposed to function.
It has its case, even though the leather handle has broken off. Also the square plate on the top cover, which should read "Dactyle" and the address, has gone missing. Other than that, the machine is very much "dans son jus".
