Triumphator VII

A large and early Triumphator, s/n 7508, dating back to around 1914. It alsready has the numbers stamped on the input fields, which is lucky, because the type VII does not have an input check register. The machine was bought second-hand in a Dutch office supply store at the beginning of the 1950's. It was probably taken as a trade-in, refurbished (new crank handle, creative red accents on the comma sliders, fancy rubber feet instead of the original wood plate, and the wingnuts were painted black to hide the wear - the missing bell was not replaced) and then sold second-hand. I have not tried to see whether the Triumphator name was filled in and then the top plate was painted, or whether it was never there in the first place. Something else missing in this machine that must have been missing from the start is an input reset slider - that hardware is just not there, and never has been either, because the slit in the top plate is missing entirely.
